Baendit Red Baron Aviator Revo Lens Sunglasses

Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, also widely known as the Red Baron, was a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service during the First World War. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories. BAENDIT in this Aviator's design remembers the Baron's mastery, skill and passion for flying in its pioneering age.

FRAMES: Aviator shape brushed gold frames made of new generation in-mould electric welded stainless steel structure with nickel free plating. Hand brushed finishing and laser engraved.
LENSES: Custom S20 Revo Gold lenses made specifically for BAENDIT to work in the toughest of environments and filter out 100% of UVA / UVB / UVC. Made from Thermoplastic Polycarbonate composite for extra strength and durability.

CORE: BAENDIT alloy core is processed and engineered to reach exceptional reversible plasticity properties. Its ductility and malleability performances allow the core of the temples and bridge to deform, hold position and move back to original when pressure is applied.

HINGES: Each temple and nose bridge piece is hand cut and 4 (temples) to 8 (nose) safety pins are hand welded to the main structure to work as a locking mechanism to the eye frame piece.

CASING: High resistance Silicone-Rubber Elastomer cured and injection molded with the alloy core to be permanently bonded. The Silicone casing provides the elastic capacity to follow the core in the deformation process and has a leading role in the last 5% of returning to its original shape.
